Themes, a profile avatar, a home screen you can tune, and notebooks that do not all look the same. Customising Doodlik is part of using it — not a buried settings chore.
Doodlik ships with a butter-and-blue look, but it does not have to stay that way. In Customise you pick a theme — lemon, blush, sage, lilac, peach, breeze, or a darker mood like midnight, mist, or moss — so the planner feels like a room you chose, not a template you borrowed.
Calendar events can wear their own colours too, so coursework, lunch, and family time are easy to tell apart at a glance.
Pick an avatar so friends recognise you at a glance — a small face on a friend’s list, not a generic initial. It’s part of making the planner feel lived-in, the same way a cover makes a notebook yours.
The first screen is yours to tune. Keep the to-do card if you live by lists; hide a widget if it is noise. The point is a daily view that matches how you actually start the day.
Covers are part of the same idea. A dream journal should not look like the grocery list. Give each book a pattern and a colour, then open the one you need.
If it feels like yours, you will actually open it.
